History of Karnes City Methodist Church

Karnes City Methodist Church, originally established as the Karnes City Methodist Episcopal Church in 1893, holds the distinction of being the first church founded in Karnes City, Texas. Over the years, it has evolved into the Karnes City United Methodist Church, aligning with denominational changes and continuing its mission of serving the community. The church is part of the Rio Texas Conference within the South Central Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church. Throughout its history, the congregation has been dedicated to fostering spiritual growth and community engagement, adapting to the changing needs of its members while maintaining a steadfast commitment to its faith-based principles.
